i was wondering can a soft modded xbox with no mod chip read an iso dvd-R or do i need a modchip so it can read the files..plz help me
No you don't need a modchip to softmod that why its called "soft" mod cause you use software. The only way I know you have to do it is games expolits with splinter cell 1(not platium), 007 AUF, and Mechassult(which seems to me difficult because you need a specific copy with matahing ID. Know if that what you want to does use the search engine for this forum and you'll find the tutorial on how to do it.

Yeah, it'll read backup movies, games and cds, but you have the software to play the movies. I don't remember what I have(not at home) , but if you don't you can ftp it in your applications folder in the E drive and your good to go.
