Softmod question

I have a new Xbox, mfg.date 3-29-2005. Not sure what version it is. Will there be any problems trying to softmod this unit? Do I have to find which version it is?

 

u have a 1.6 and i am pretty sure there is no problem doing it on a 1.6

it is hard. because i don' know what you have in xbox hdd.

you may dont have apps like xbmc, dvd2xbox, etc.,,
