Softmod with dashboard 8955

    Hi guys,

    I want to softmod my Xbox360 with Jtag and XBreboot but I have dashboard version 2.0.8955.0 , in the tutorial in this forum i written to don't do it. Why?

    Is there something I can do e.g. flash te dashboard to an older version or something?

    You cant because that dashboard has the exploit that allows the jtag to work patched. No downgrading is possible at the moment

    Impossible to say really what exploits may be found in the future or how long it will take. The quickest and cheapest method that I would do would be to find an easy to repair RRoD xbox on craigslist (like a 0102 error) that's never been opened or on live and repair it. I had one about a month ago that didnt even have the NXE but had the old blade dashboard.

    I also flashed my hitachi rev 59 to Ixtreme 1.51 and downloaded a backup of asssassins creed 2. I burned it to a Verbitam Duallayer but the Xbox won't read it.

    abgx 1.0.2 stealted the disc and confirms the disc is ok. Everything green:p

    What error message does it give you? Open tray? Play DVD?

    try using xtreme 5.3a, it doesnt do any wave checking and should boot all games like LT does (though it isnt as safe for live as LT but probably safer than 1.51)

    its stays saying reading for a minute and then opan tray shows up.

    what is LT? and where can i find it?

    I am just wondering what might update the dashboard to series 8? If games, which game? Will it be possible to update to dashboard series 8 without ever getting online?
