Hey all, i havent had much luck with the softmod insructions as followed in some threads. What i do is what for the xbox to show the microsoft logo, and i unplug the ide cable and leave the power on. I then press one, through xboxdm's program, then its scrolls for a while and its at the screen i want. then when i type in xbrowser i get the following: looking for cdrom in /dev/hda...b...c..etc no disk drive found on /dev/hda Please connect a drive and try again! Will now search /dev/hda for xbox partition table...no xbox partion found on /dev/hda. My setup is Xbox Hdd on Primary master, and cd-rom on secondary master. now a few questions i have is...for hot swapping does the xbox hdd have to be set at master? or cable select? Another method i;ve tried is using a windoes based software. I unpluged my cd-rom, and atached my xbox hdd to secondary master, searched for new hardware and it detexcted my stock Western Digital xbox hdd, so i opened explorer 360 tried to access the hdd, but it says no fatx drive to open. I need help, seems like the drive is locked, but would it detect it if it wasnt? i've tried playing a song off the hdd, microsoft logo, nothing. Please help.
