I softmoded my xbox about 2mths ago and the problem I'm having is that when I leave a game inside the xbox and turn it off, when I want to play again another game it goes to the install mode like you'll see the create back mod, create emrop or something like that, its like when you have to install softmod if you know what I mean so then I just reboot and then it goes back to the unleahed dash. How do I go about leaving the unleashed dash on there or would I have to just take the game out before I turn off the xbox.
I have SID 2.0 not sure about the version.it only does that when I leave a game in the drive and turn it off so yeah when I turn it on a game would be in so I'll press eject and then that'l happen .another thing how would I go abour updating the dasboard or can I do that.
well SID 2.0 is extremely old and i beleive was the first SID out....i would remove that and use SID 4.5 instead...to remove the softmod just put the game you used to softmod back into the console,and load the saves it will say remove softmod this time...
That's the only way I moded my xbox using 2.0 the 4.0 wouldn't install pluswould it save thegames inside the hard drive and where could I get sid 4.5. Does it have dvd 2xbox and the dvd player.to upgrade I would have to put game I used splintercell and then load up linux again and then remove mod then install softmod again the sameway I installed it.
to get the SID 4.5 splintercell saves just click my name i have it in my links section, and yes just put in splintercell and remove the old softmod....i also have dvd2xbox in my links page 2 if you need XBMC i can send you a link for that....

Ok this is what I did and you let me know what went wrong. I putthe game in drive(splintercell) and then wen to start game-linux so when softmod came up there was no uninstall softmod there was only backupms-backupmod-restorms-restoremod-deletemsbackup-deletemodbackup-installevox-installunleashx-etc. So what I did is retored mod ans ms and then rebooted and got the message waiting to update xboxon xbox live or something like that and is waiting to connect to xbox live and can't get past that the good thing I just reinstalled the same sids and am still able to play it. The way I see it if a it aint broke why fix it . Unless I really have to up this upgrade, I'm pretty sure there more features. So if you can help it would be much appreciated if not I can deal with taking the games out before I turn it off.
