ive read the tutorials and have been going through the post but just wanted to know how to backup a eeprom? as backup c drive can easily be done is backing up the eeprom as easy as that? i have a xbox with action reply and 8Mb mem cardcan i someone get the default eeprom from the xbox copy it to mem card and use action reply to store it on my pc for safety reasons? also by backing up c drive and eeprom the xbox can be fully restored without having to go buy a modchip right? also is the auto installer 2.11final tool good to use from xbox.udp site or should i use the Itools program? and as this is my first post here id just like to say that this forum is one of the best ive seen as there are so many people here and alot of areas of discussion thanx
The answers you seek can be found by using the search bar here or at xbox-scene.com. The autoinstaller is okay, just use the newer version, I believe they just released a version 3 with some updates. Itools is way outdated, the best one I have used is slayers ndure installer. It can be found on xbins. As far as backing up the eeprom, you can't do it through action replay. As part of the softmod install you backup the eeprom. You have to to continue the install in most cases. Once you are finished, just ftp the whole thing (All HD contents and eeprom backup) to your computer for safe keeping. just please read some more first. Daniel
manny_j33 krazy's is ok. 4.0 has some nice feature and saftey checks. I ussualy instal my dash (evox) to the E: drive.
Oh sweet, so they released a newer version? Ive only softmodded a few times, I prefer chips personally. I install all my dashes to c drive, so I can have apps on e and games/music/movies on f. That depends on what size hard-drive you're using though, I have a 120 gig, it's full already. Like my sig says, if you have any questions just ask. Ill answer to the best of my knowledge, and try to find an answer for you too. Cause questions are the only way to learn. Just dont flame, anywhere. It makes you sound unintelligent.
