hello - I need help restoring my system to a previous condition.

I have two DVD burners installed - both are Sony - 1 is a DW-U10A, the
    other a DW-22A

Both were spitting out DVDs with great compatibility - played on most
all standalone DVD players, using software Elby CloneDVD v2.4.5.4 with
two brands of DVD-R: Dupsonic 4x and Great AZO 4x (Ritek G04)

Yesterday I uninstalled Elby CloneDVD 2.4.5.4 and installed Clone DVD
v3.6.1.0 by DVD X Studios ( mistook it as an Elby product)

After discovering the mistake I uninstalled Clone DVD 3.6.1.0 and used
Windows System Restore and rolled back system settings to the point
where I had uninstalled Elby CloneDVD 2.4.5.4

After reboot all looked okay but now when I burn a DVD with the
restored Elby CloneDVD v2.4.5.4 and using the Ritek G04 DVD-R media,
my Panasonic DVD-RV31 won't play the discs. Before installing and
uninstalling Clone DVD 3.6.1.0 the Panasonic played the burned Ritek
    DVD-Rs just fine.

Burning DVDs using the Dupsonic media will still produce discs that
    play fine with the Panasonic.

I know one solution is to just use the Dupsonic media but I still have 200 Ritek G04 blanks left.

Can someone explain to me what has changed and how I may unchange it? TIA

    solved the problem...

It turns out that there were remnant instructions in Windows registry that caused the original install of CloneDVD to utilize process files leftover by the latter installed CloneDVD program.

I uninstalled CloneDVD, cleaned my registry of all mention of CloneDVD, deleted any remnant folders off from my HD, restarted the PC, reinstalled CloneDVD. -- burned a Ritek G04 DVD-R, plays beautifully in the Panasonic DVD-RV31...
