Software for Car keys / Fobs

    Hi, does anybody point me in the right direction - i'm looking for
    a way to programme a key for my car.(Merc. E200 1998 )The cost is prohibitive - €150 for whats involved.

    Does anybody have any idea how the encoding system works or how i can do it myself. The keys uncoded are on sale on ebay for a nominal sum.

    You can't do it yourself. You'll have to take the key to the dealership. The programming is proprietary.
