does anyone know of any software that makes cutting commercials out of recorded shows? i have a usb tv tuner and was just wondering if there is any easy way to remove the commercials. thanks
try out the demo from videoredo plus. Thats the only program I use, haven't found a better program that works as well as this program. It has a commercial scan feature, that will scan the file for commercials and tag them so you can cut them out. http://www.videoredo.com/en/index.htm Also there's also womble mpegvcr which I used before I found videoredo plus, it is also a frame accurate editor. But it's a very simple program that does work very well but doesn't have the commercial scan, and only works on mpeg1 and mpeg2 files. http://www.womble.com/products/vcr.html Both of the above programs remove commercials without reencoding the video, it takes less than 5 minutes to save a 2 hour edited file. The quality of the output is the same as the input file (no quality loss). And the edited video always stay in audio sync, something that is a problem when you use a program the reencodes the video.
