I don't know if I am in the right forum, but my question is what is the fastest and best software to use to back-up DVDs. I have DVD Shrink3.2 and AnyDVD and then i also have DeepBurn and Nero to burn them. It just seems to take so long. Maybe I am just impatient, how long should A DVD backup take? I even followed directions to only copy the movie and only use the English sound. Well if someone can direct me to a place to get help, or help me here I would really appricite it as I have many DVDs to backup and would like to do it in the fastest amount of time possile.

Try dvd decrypter. I use it to back up my ps2 games and some films.
    and they burn rather quick.

AnyDVD with Shrink is good enough. DVD Decrypter is probably the best all around DVD program, it is what I use.

Basically, the ripping process takes about 20 to 30 minutes depending on your DVD-ROM and the length of the movie. Depending on the size of the movie, you may have to compress it using DVD Shrink (or Nero Recode 2 if you have it). Compressing depends on your CPU speed. If you have something like 700mhz CPU, expect about 3 to 4 hours Compression. If you have a 3Ghz expect about 40 minutes or so.

After compressing, you have to burn. If you set DVD Shrink to give you an ISO, then you can use DVD Decrypter in ISO Write mode, or Nero in Image mode. If you set Shrink to give you a DVD Folder, use Nero in DVD Video Mode. Burn at 4x or less. 4x will take about 13 to 14 minutes to burn a 4.7GB disc.
