Is anyone aware of a software tool that can be used to lock and then unlock, when desired, a group of computers? An application of this for instance would be a teacher in a classroom wanting to lock the childrens computers so they wouldn't be able to use them while the teacher is talking, and then unlock again when they want. Thanks.
SORRY I HAVE ONLY ADVICE,IF THE CHILDRENS AGES RANGING FROM4-8 YRS,U CAN PUT USER ACCOUNT PASSWORD ON ALL COMPUTERS.IF THR AGES IS 8 AND ABOVE CHANCES ARE THEY ALREADY KNOW HOW TO UNLOCK OR CLICK THE NETWORK SETTINGS AND TO DIS ABLE IF THEY SEE UR PASSWORD ESPECIALLY WHEN U ARE TYPING IT.KEEP IN MIND THAT CHILDREN THS DAYS R VERY SMART IN COMPUTERS.ANOTHER ADVICE IS TO ASK A GOOD TECHNICIAN WITH BROAD KNOWLEDGE IN NETWORKING ,OR TRY TO SEARCH AT FREEWAREFILES.COM FOR SECURITY,OR PRIVACY?? OR TRY CLICK NETWORK/NETWORK TOOLS,GOODLUCK TO U http://www.freewarefiles.com/UltraVNC_program_15002.html IM NOT SURE ABOUT THS IF THS IS WORKING,U NEED TO RESEARCH FOR THE BEST
XXI, knockoff the caps lock as is refered to as shouting which is a forum rule no no. 9. No ALL CAPS MESSAGES or you will be banned (you know, turn the caps lock off before you type anything). http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/2487
im very sorry ,i promise not to do that again.i love ths website i want to be here all the time.thanks for the info
I've never had the need for such software, but it looks like a program called Net Control 2 will do what you're asking. http://www.netcontrol2.com/ Here's another program that may work for you; it's called Classroom Spy Professional. http://www.classroomspy.com/classroomspy_pro.htm
There is a program called HandyCafe. Its used by internet cafes. you have to install the client software on each pc. If its for a school, then i guess this is possible.
Thanks for your suggestions. Looks like the school that needs this has no budget for it (as always) so it's free software only. I've found one called iTALC but I'll also be testing HandyCafe now (wonder if it has ads...?) as some say iTALC is a little unstable. Cheers!
Hi Silk42, Hey man i dont know if you where i can get the ccna exam preparation or something relate to ccna, im planning to take a test soon. Cheers
Not that this is the right forum or thread for this, but check out examcollection.com Also google ccna on any torrent site for exam prep stuff. I assume you are actually learning it though and not just brain dumping the exams, the amount of paper mcse's and ccna's nowadays flooding the market are really filling the sector with unqualified people who have been driving down the earning potential of IT professionals for years. Anyway, you know that, for exam prep examcollection.com is good.
Are you mad? This has nothing to do with mobile phones. EDIT: Last posters message seems to have disappeared...
