i think i need to fill the LPC holes with solder, i have a version 1.0 Xbox. The contact will be better and the light will turn green. What do you think? I have a lot of difficulty to align the matrix. I flashed the new matrix for the first time using BIOS file Evox D6 blue and WinLPC.
do the holes have solder at all in them? if so, try cleaning the points where the chip contactsthe points with a small hobby knife, just lightly scrape away any varnish that might be there. it doesn't take much pressure at all. if there is no solder at all, check my guide for filling the holes in the "user submitted guides" forum.
you could also go to the hardware store and get a #4 x 1/2 inch pan head screw and use it instead of the factory screw. this allows you to really tighten the chip down and make good contact. there is also a method where you can use a nut and bolt to secure the chip to the board. is the chip working at all?
Yes, flashing red and flashing green sometimes but i have to move the matrix a way that i am not able to screw correctly. The screw is in angle. it is not easy.
well bro you might be one of the lucky ones that has to put more solder in, thats going to suck, i'd still keep trying though before i did that. have you been able to get it to work, like as in booting the box and seeing if the bios is working? a few people had messed up LED's and some got no green at all but it worked.
