Solution - Connecting to a XP-networked Printer with Vista

    I've seen quite a few posts about this problem. Here is the solution that worked for me:

    Go to your control panel.
    Select Add Printer.
    When it asks you if you want to add a Local or Network Printer, believe it or not, choose local.
    Click the "Create a New Port" button, hit next.
    Then in the box that pops up, enter the printer path (example: \\COMPUTERNAME\PRINTERNAME)
    Click OK.
    Search for your printer manufacturer and model, then install.
    Worked for me like a charm. Windows Vista at its best.

    Thanks, That helps me out. I thought it was impossible to do this.
