    I have a stand alone DVD-Recorder (LG DR175).

I have noticed that it is refusing to play some AVI file (not all, but some).

Having read the forum, I am guessing that it is because the AVI file was encoded differently.

So please help me out - how can I get the player to play all of them? If the AVI file is not compatible - can I fix the file before burning it to disc?

I don't want to convert the AVI file to a normal DVD because I want to add a number of AVI files to one disc.

Possible that it will require re-encoding. Really depends on the specs of the file and what needs changing.
