Hi guys, just wondering if this happens with "The Box" often. I've noticed on the sports channels and also when I was watching The Omen on tv last night that when the camera scene changes, my picture goes slightly pixelated for a couple of seconds. It's nothing major as the program is still very good quality, but just for a second or two when the camera changes to the next scene I get that "Blurryness".

Is this a common thing with "The Box" or is it just me lol

    Thanks

No it happens with "The Box", Starview and Eurovox, it is down to the fact that the CC is upgrading the cable network at the moment, so nothing too serious to worry about.

Thanks for the quick reply sc0user. Thats good to know. It was happening more so a couple of weeks ago. I was watching the "Community Shield" and start noticing it then. It's not as bad as then but hopefully it's sorted soon.

    Signal problem LMAO

    Here's a good one for you's.

I moved into a new house about 2 years back and it wasn't wired up for n*l cable so I went with sky for a period with the plan of changing to n*l but when i rang them to get my house wired up, the said it would cost €800 yes thats right €800.

So I said F*ck that and stayed with sky but loads of my mates had the star view so I got back onto n*l a few months back and kept hasseling them and eventually I offered roughly €300 to get the house wired up. They took my money the very nexy day we agreed on this and said I'd be hooked up within 2 weeks. I thought great.....weeks went past and no sign of them setting me up and every time I rang, nobody knew nothing.

I had to get onto some "Regulation" croud and they told me that N*l is so bad that they have a whole section that looks after complaints made against them.

Anyway, when the asses finally did set me up, it seems they stil know nothing cause I still havn't received a bill yet months later lol

€800 for a house to be wired up Yeah right and the guy done it in bout half an hour.

The least they could do is sort out their signal so I could watch my "Box" nice and clear lol

LOL very good story. I actually rewired my own house with a high grade CT100, this improved the strength by about 10Db, which was quite an improvement.

The only problem all people have is actually the old cabling provided from the incomer by N**. which is cr*p to say the least. But guess what with their new cabling upgrade we will all have better signal quality. They are doing this for both the new PVR box and the future implementation of HDTV.

I have a Eurovox, Starview, Dbox2 and a subbed box, so I can tell you I am fully covered :)

By the way the prices you were given for a re-wire was as you say somewhat exorbitant as you said :)
