I uninstalled some programs from my computer yesterday. Later on I realised that some of my movie ( divx, xvid etc) files don't play any more. I keep getting amessage saying that Window Media Player encountered problems and has to close. Got same message from PowerDVD. What's wrong? What shell I do?
Please help! Thanks for your time spending answering this!

Hmmm...Maybe you uninstalled some needed codecs.

Run the files that dont play through GSPOT.
I also recommend downloading and installing FFDShow and using that to playback your movies instead of using a codec. But this is all up to you.

Also have a look at this guide:

    Good Luck.
