Some one I cared for died

    My grandpa just died. He was 82 and had been fighting a blood clot in his head for 5 years. I'm really going to miss him. He was a really nice guy.

    Sorry to hear that, Keebles. He did have a long life, which should be celebrated, in his passing.

    Sorry to hear that keebles. Happened to myself a year ago last month; it's not a nice thing to go through, but you'll be ok.

    Walter B. Kurowski of Arlington Heights for over 35 years Services for Walter B. Kurowski, 82, will begin with prayers at 9:15 a.m. Monday, Nov. 17, at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights, and proceed to St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Arlington Heights Wheeling Township Cemetery, Arlington Heights. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, at the funeral home. Born Sept. 5, 1926, in Chicago, he died Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. Walter was a World War II Army veteran and, a structural ironworker all his working life. He enjoyed reading and traveling with his family. He was the beloved husband of Marie (nee Hill), whom he married July 27, 1947; loving father of Shirley (Michael) Kobler of Arlington Heights and the late Walter T. (the late Debbie) Kurowski; devoted grandfather of David and Christopher Kobler, Michelle Kurowski, Walter (Stacy) Kurowski, Kathy Flowers, Thomas (Crystal) Kurowski and Kendra Kurowski, and great-grandfather of nine; devoted son of the late Joseph and Sophie Kurowski; and dear brother of Lora (the late Richard) Kwayzer. He was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
