i have a pionner receiver and i had the remote control ...i used to be sitting on the coach relaxed puting the volume up and down as many time as i wanted.. but know the remote has been lost for couple of months and theres no more relaxing . does someone know if the remote controls (universals) works in receivers??.
If the only thing you are worried about controlling from your couch is the volume on your receiver, then a universal remote will do the trick.(make sure to check the back of the packaging on the universal remote to see if it supports pioneer receivers) If you are looking to control other features on your receiver then I suggest you go to pioneer's website and order a new remote.
i have the RCA RCU-1010 LCD touch display remote........ paid 100 bucks for it, but i have seen it cheaper on e-bay http://cgi.ebay.com/RCA-RCU-1010-LC...ryZ15065QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem everything that i have thrown at it works.... it does tons of functions, even macros, i can even control my ceiling fans with it..
yes, you are limited with OE remotes, its better to buy a universal remote, such as the one i linked you too, there ar others available, but thats what i currently own, and it allows me to control my stereo receiver.
I bought a sony surround system from the bargain table at curry's. It had no remote control. I bought one of the "all for one" remotes. The codes in the booklet worked for some things like TV, DVD but CD player, freeview box and surround system suggested codes did not work. The clever thing is , I rang them up, they asked for the model no.s of equipment and asked me to then hold the remote to the telephone for an update of the codes I needed. Hey presto, everthing works.
i just went to radio shack and bought one of those for 20 bucks its amaizing ...i used to have the tv remote, dvd remote and receiver remote in the hand to control everthing now i just have to have one .
