    Hi, another newbie (sort of)

I understand flashing/networking/FTP but, just need a couple of questions answering.... i have looked everywhere for these too!!

    1. I've moved in to a brand new building and they already have a Telewest satellite point on the walls, do i have to actually ring up TW and subscribe to their tv service to then allow my DBOX2 to get the channels, or should the DBOX be able get the channels without the subscription. (i hope that all makes sense!)

    2. What is the latest version of the image for the NOKIA DBOX2 (2x) Telewest London (UK) Neutrino. And where's the best place to get this? is it (modshack??)

    3. Where can i find in the DBOX2 menus which version of which image is on my NOKIA DBOX2?

    4. Any info on being a Mac user from anyone? tips? software? hints? etc? anything? VLC setup/settings?

    Many Thanks in advance guys

    1. No you do not need to subscribe to receive all the channels.
but if you do not pick up any channels you may need to subscribe.

2.there are lots of images, i use sportster pro

    3. when the box boots up it should say which image it is. (otherwise i am not sure, cuz my box says it)

    4. I am not on Mac, so i dont know.

    I hope this helps

before you put any image on ,youll need to open the box to see how many chips it has , as if you put a 1*image on a 2 chip box or vice versa youll end up with a kline system which is reasonably hard to sort.

chuips refer to the number of flash chips, the storage for the actual operating system for the DBox

if you flash a 2 x flash chip image to a 1 x Flash chip box you will screw it up and vice vera
