I won't be switching to Vista any time soon. I have an install disc for one pc and have yet to change any to Vista :)

For pc games you're still pretty safe w/ XP - otherwise I probably would have had my kid scream to upgrade to Vista by now :) Also too many people still use XP so the games can played w/ either o/s.

Yes most newer ones can be played on either platform.
Vista zaps more of your resources but as long as you over the minimum requirements of the game you should be fine.

Pretty much every game still runs on XP, though, a couple of games - such as Halo 2 - only work on Vista, then again, they've made patches to let them work on XP.

I've just got a new PC that had Vista pre-installed, it's a bit of a pain but every game i've tried so far has been able to run some way or another; either through a patch or running in compatability mode.

Either? Haha, it's really up to you, i don't mind XP or Vista, they're both fine. The only advantages of Vista i've actually encountered so far is the fact it looks nicer and runs really smoothly (if you've got the right hardware).

XP can still look good when using something like WindowBlinds, but it does "work" slower than Vista. There are however more bad points i've encountered, such as design faults and tight security.

I'm with Shokz - either will do.
I just prefer XP cause everything is running so nicely. Though a new Vista laptop just got added to my household today :)

If your pc/laptop came with Vista and you have at least 2 gig ram then stick with it - give it a shot.

If you have a good graphics card too that helps too in your 'gaming experience'.
