I read thru the tutorial on softmodding my xbox on this site. Very detailed. Something ive been looking for for a while now. Cheers on the good job!

    Now for my questions:

1.) I am not an xbox live subscriber, so do i have to do anything special or skip any steps?

2.) Once you have the new dashboard/softmod up and running, can you install new, homebrewed dashboard's overtop of the "default" one installed when softmodding?

3.) am i to understand i can FTP over emulators over to it as well? Nes, Snes, Genesis, Mame..so on and so forth? For that is the reason for me wanting to softmod in the first place...dont really care about "backed up games", although that may change in the future.

Thanks for any help you guys/gals can provide!

And i appologize if these are total n00b questions..

    1) No need to do anything different. It's not a bad idea to do the 'Dual Boot' anyway, you never know, you may use LIVE at some point...

    2) Yes you can. Get AID v4.01 and choose the dashboard you want.

    3) Yes you can FTP, but AID will install them for you!

yes it will, but you can change it so that it doesnt by going to the settings menu and changing the things that are set to autoboot.
