I have been using Nero for years. The latest iterations, however, leave something to be desired. I have re-installed at least 5 times, following all their directions, dowloaded the latest and greatest, etc. In addition, prior to reinstalling, I have made sure there are no more registrations, no more files, etc. In addition I have made sure that there are no other programs running (end it all). I have 1gb of memory (should be enough). Nothing does any good. I write to their support but am lucky to hear back for over 4/5 weeks and when I do hear back no suggestions work and they want yet another re-installation. I have stopped trying to put stuff to dvd and just put images to the disk (lots of room). I cannot make dvd slide shows, I cannot edit and then make dvd's, etc. Nothing works and its always buffer overflow. I am now in the process of surrendering. I have tried roxio but they have their problems too (possibly even worse than Nero). What I would like to know is if anybody knows of a program that will actually work. Thank you...............
Nero is a great program, yes there are some problems with the latest versions, I have found that any version after 7.0.8.2 contain bugs, also version 7.0.1.4. I recommend uninstalling Nero, run this clean tool http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html to remove ALL traces and then install 7.0.8.2, a more stable version from here http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845 It is also recommended NOT to have Nero and Roxio BOTH installed, they clash, heres a zapper to remove Roxio http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml [bold]Nothing works and its always buffer overflow[/bold] This is an error which is common to 7.2.3.2 and 7.0.3.2
