Pinnacle studio 8.3 is ok but i want a more professional finish ie- special effects (more options etc) any ideas would be appreciated , oh to be user friendly would be good aswell:) i don't want to have to go on a 6 week course to be able to use the software.

You are going to have problems Finding a professinal Level Video editing program that has professinal Features and produces Professinal Quality that is as easy to use as a Low End Consumer oriented Video editing Program like "Pinnacle Studio 8/9".....

I usually use "Sony Vegas Video 6" which is one of the easier to use High end Video editors but it will still take you a little while to learn how to use it properly....

There are a couple of Higer End Consumer Oriented Programs Like "Canopus Let"s Edit 2.0" or "Adobe Premier Elements 1.0" (A Cut down and StreamLined version of "Adobe Premier Pro") that Might be Just What you are Looking for.....

I work as a Video editor so I have had the Oppertunity to Try pretty much all the Good Video editors out there and Have Tried most of the Bad ones so if you need any more advice or have any specific questions about certain programs then don"t be afraid to PM me if you wish.....

    Cheers

Thanks Minion , i have now checked out "Canopus Let"s Edit 2.0" and "Adobe Premier Elements 1.0" but i think they may be no better than pinnacle 8 or am i wrong ? with sony vegas 6 can it do alot more or is it just better at what it does?...........little things i wanted sometimes where like letters banging on the screen with a noise and dust over the video and audio (like in an advert)that sort of thing :)

Thanks for helping me last year aswell with my video capturing from analogue - using windvr3 (i had GOP errors using my other capture program) dvd pal then use mpeg vcr to edit
demultiplex then use dvd lab compile dvd then use nero to burn the authored dvd..................great results (quality wise) even though i know it shouldn't really be captured as mpeg2
