Something wrong with my new external DVD writer. Help

I keep getting the BSOD with the Kernel_Inpage.... or Kernel_Stack error while ripping to my harddrive, I also get the burn failed error in nero while burning a data disc here is the log file for that. The DVD writer is the Mad Dog 16x

You seem to be pushing your unit in general pretty hard ~

You're only running 512 of RAM and you're either doing so much multi-tasking that you've got hardly anything left to work with OR you have every proggy you've ever installed booting up when you start your PC (a Bad thing).

1.122MB of available RAM memory isn't enough to begin burning ISO images.

Solution: DO NOT MULTI-TASK until this problem is resolved. Shut all of your extra proggys down. Working with DVD's isn't anything at all like working with CD's. With CD's you can burn at Max and it takes nothing at all to do it. When working with ISO Images on DVD's it requires 100% of your available resources. If you don't have that many proggys open then you desperately need to go to "Run," msconfig, startup tab, disable all, Apply, OK, OK to reboot.

2. Attempting to burn an ISO image at 16X is a sure-fire way to generate coasters.

Solution: Tone your burn speed down to 4X.

3. Finally, if you are burning more than 4.3 GB of data on your disc (in other words if you are compressing your image to fit a DVD-5 -
Change your DVD Target Size from DVD-5 to "Custom" and set the size to 4300MB so you're not burning to the very edge of the disc where the dye app may well be uneven.

IMPORTANT: Use a decent quality media. Crap like Memorex just won't work. Verbatims will.

i would get rid and try again...

may need nero uninstall tool from website! also get latest nero too and install that.

Just a side note here, your Nero is an outdated version, you'll need to update your Nero to the latest 6.6.0.16. If you can then update your dvd burner's firmware too if there is any current firmware available, go here http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php and search for your model, and or you need to google around for a new firmware if there is one. I tried to look for your model, but the closest I find is Mad Dog MD - 16XDVD9 with current firmware 2.FA, other than that I'm not sure if it's yours or not.

Sounds like your dvd burner doesn't like the media you're using, it's either it can't recognize the blank media or don't like it. Don't tell me that this is another cheap Memorex (CMC MAG) media. You'll need to get yourself some high quality media such as the famous Taiyo Yuden (genuine YUDEN can be found on the FUJI & SONY 8X DVD+R "Made In Japan"), Verbatim (MCC003) and Maxell (Made In Japan - manufactured by Hitachi) for your future dvd backups. They're all top notch and flawless media in the market now-a-days.

You need to dump that "InCD" program, it is not recommend to have both InCD and Nero on one system. Obviously, they don't get along too well. It will conflict with Nero and most likely produce "coasters" for you. Go here http://ww2.nero.com/enu/Clean_Tools.html and you'll need to download both Nero's "General Clean Tool" and "InCD General Clean Tool" to run and completely wipe out their products from your system. Now download the latest 6.6.0.16 from Nero, reinstall Nero (only package #1 & #2) on your computer, reboot and try to do another backup to see if you have a successful burn this time.

The burner I am using is a External USB MAD DOG Multimedia MD-16XDVD9-8XE

 

What is INcd and should i remove all of the nero files or just INCD
