Something wrong with my psp, please HELP!!:(

I've got a stupid brother who wanted to update my psp. I had 3.73 HX and wanted to upgrade to 3.9 m33, he put the files to the memory stick and installed one of them, Then the psp restarted and could not read anything anymore when i go to the game section it tells me there is no game.
I don't know what to do, I just downloaded patapon and i really wanna play it
Please help, i need my psp to start working again

 

backup the files on the ms and then format the stick from psp menu, .iso games go in the ms0:/ISO folder

 

It didn't work I also tried putting the memory stick in another PSP and it worked, this psp doesn read the files, However it recognizes the memory stick once i insert it..
Any ideas?

go back to 1.5 from the recovery (if still works)

then go up to at least 3.52 m33-4

then to 3.80 m33-5

aply fatmsmod.prx fix from dark alex

google up if u do not understand (this is for a fat)

i woulf buy a extra battery and a memory if i were u(for pandora), i always go around screwing my psp so i constantly need one.
if u find it expensive just team up with friends

I just knew how to enter recovery mode, apperantly it doesn't work! so how can i get back to 1.5 now:S

 

First, try using the fastmod patch for 3.90 and juz see whether your memory stick gets read

So, be sure to read it to know how to use it ^_^

If it doesn't work, then good you have two PSPs
Does other PSP have a custom firmware ???
Then you can use THIS guide

Also, to run the "pandora battery creator" software, you need the 1.50 kernel ^_^

It's not necessary to downgrade to 1.50 and then update your PSP >_<
This will directly update your PSP to 3.71m33-2
You can install the 3.71m33-4 update after that
3.71m33-4 update : HERE
3.80m33-5 has too many bugs >_<
So, it's not recommended by me

Did you extract the "fatmsmod.prx" from the "3.71 firmware EBOOT.PBP" and placed it in the ROOT of your memory stick ??

 

Well, i did extract the zip/rar folder and found the eboot file. i put it in the main directry of the memory stick.

the file i donwloaded is

if thats what you mean by the fatmsmod.prx.
However my psp couldn't read the file,
Note: the other psp could read the memroy stick
what to do next?

 

You've done it wrong >_>
After you download that file, you'll get a folder named "FATMSPATCH"
Copy that "FATMSPATCH" to "ms0:\PSP\GAME" of your PSP memory stick >_>
Now, download the official 3.71 firmware from HERE and copy the EBOOT.PBP you got from the downloaded file to the ROOT of your PSP memory stick
Then download the PSARdumper application from HERE
You'll get a folder named "PSP"
Juz copy that folder to the ROOT of your PSP memory stick
Now, run the PSARdumper application on your PSP
And then press the "Square" button to extract the 3.71 firmware's EBOOT.PBP that you placed in the ROOT of your PSP memory stick before
Then after the extraction, connect your PSP to your PC and then in the F0 folder, go to "kd" folder and copy the "fatms371.prx" to the root of your memory stick

*You can delete the "F0" folder, the 3.71 "EBOOT.PBP" and the PSARdumper if you want*

Now, run the "Fatmspatch" application

i just got one q:
regarding PSARdumper, If i copied the folder PSP and paste it on the memory stick main folder, it will replace the previous PSP folder, Hence, canceling the previous work we've done on PSP folder...

It will juz "concern itself with the files it has" and it does not affect the other files

 

Man, I just tried it, it is no use... My PSP doesn't seem to read anything from the memory stick, I tried putting the meory stick in the other psp, and it worked, it read the files, but not on my psp.
I have 3.73 HX-1 and i wanted to install the new version. 3.9 m33 or seomthing, I installed one of the files on my psp, then it doesn't read any file anymore, What to do now?

Use THIS guide and use your friend's PSP to make the magic memory stick & pandora battery

btw which memory stick do you have ??

 

i have a 2giga memory stick from sony, but i really doubt it is orginal.
I hope this guide is really easy to understand, I don't understand the concept of pandora battery, but lets hope i do understand it now

Also, you need an original memory stick to make a "Magic memory stick" and also it should be a Memory stick pro duo >_>

Insert your memory stick to your friend's PSP and then in the "video" option of your PSP, press the "triangle" button on your PSP and choose "information"
If MagicGate is supported, then it's an original memory stick
If it shows "MagicGate unknown", it's a FAKE !!! >_>

That may the reason why your 3.90m33 wasn't able to read your memory stick and also, you cannot make a "magic memory stick" with your memory stick >_<

Buy a new memory stick >_>
And this time, check whether it's original >_<
You'll find many sony fake memroy sticks >_>
So, well, I would recommend a "Sandisk memory stick pro duo"

to his friend, i will get it back later tonight and see if it works or not.. if it does. i will continue updating to 3.9, otherwise i will use it to do this pandora battery or seomthing, thanks alot i will keep you posted..
