tallone12 Dump the Kypermedia - this is more than likely the source of your problem. Pick up some Sony, Fuji (look for Made in Japan) or Verbatim datalifeplus. Online from a reputable store like supermediastore.com by Taiyo Yuden or the Verbatim's. Double Posting is when you post the same question in 2 or more thread -so your fine. Oh and btw Welcome to AD!
thank you for the reply this site is the bomb its ad or nothing i was hopeing it was the dvds and not my buner i guess thats why they were 30 bucks for 100 of them i tried the verbatims from sams club they didnt work either so got some from hp they worked ok the sale guy said khypermedia makes hps dics for them thats why i brought them i guess i wll try some of the other ones you said to try thank you again this site makes you feel a kid rideing a bike the first time you fall off your bike you just want to get back up and try again lots and lots of info good looking out
binkie is giving you good advice Khypermedia is really not that good, buying better media should help you. Also, check out the make/model of your burner and make sure your firmware is up to date on it. You can do this by opening DVD Decrypter then the tools tab, drive and capabilites. You can then go to this page and check out your burner and the current firmware. http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php
tallone12 Stay away from HP discs also - another quality name for some things but not blank media. They've been know to use CMC - the worst. Follow arniebear's advice on the firmware. I would id those verbatims thru decrypter, nero or dvd indentifer and post back the manufacturer. Verbatim is good media. Here's link for dvd indentifier: http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com/ Yes this site does rock. Always someone here to help. Stick around!
sorry it took so long for me to get back to you guys my son did something to the computer just got it back up long story anyway i updated the firmwaer like you said it was already up to date so i know its the dvds like you said only thing what happens to the dvds when they say dvd is full after a burn and since its a +rw is it worth it to erace it and try to burn it again and also you guys gave me some names of some good dvds but what about +r at 4xspeed just nervis about the verbatims tried them before they did not work but it was before i had my feet wet
Use that free proggy that binkie7 gave you the link to and tell us the manufacturer and ID of your verbatum discs. You might as well give us the manufacturer and ID of the other brands of media you have as well. I'm very suprised you had a problem with the verbatums. Let us know those manufactures and ID's so we can get things ironed out for ya. Mort
I've had extremely good luck with both Maxell and Verbatim discs. A brand to avoid would be Memorex as a spindle of 25 i maybe got 14 good ones..you learn from your mistakes.
