hi i have been burnibg my music for a while now to play in my car instead of original having had no problems but lately since i bought new laptop whenever i copy a disc using nero 7 essentials the songs keep jumping/skipping even though the original source is playing fine can anyone tell me what is causing this i am not using any different media or settings than before and it is not happening with every cd
All well and good, but you are using a different burner. Time to try using "different media or settings than before". One size does not fit all.
i have tried changing some settings in nero but problem still persists and as i say it does not happen with all discs. sometimes misses start of the first song and sometimes skips during playback but others play with no issue and it only occurs if i select the make audio cd option if i copy straight from disc everything seams fine.
yeah tried the 3 different burning speeds that my disc's do all the same end product waste about 10 disc just to get 1 good copy it is driving me mad lol do not know about nero it is the free essentials disc i got with laptop just downloading updates now will see if that works and get back to ya mate thanks alot for ya help
You are suffering from a poor quality blank, poor quality burner, a poor quality player and a poor quality burning app. You are not about to swap out burners or your car CD player so try using the free version of Media Monkey, you might get lucky. Otherwise get better disks. Try Verbatum. Skipping is caused by a marginally burned disk. Your player can almost make it out perfectly. A little worse and the player will not recognise the disk at all.
I also have had this problem since downloading music from torrent sites. as a result all my music is jumping. Is there malicious software out there that causes this?
This is a disk problem due to lesser reflectivity with a burned disk. Yours are a much harder to figure out problem.
