Ok so I just rebooted my computer and re-installed everything...yes I saved all my songs but they are in my music folder but do not show up in my itunes library When I plug my Ipod to my computer, the songs in my Ipod are still there but nothing shows up in my library. How do I copy the songs from my Ipod back to the library (I have all my songs in my music folder, but I don't want to copy them one by one back to the Library as this will take too long) Is there a short cut to like copy and paste everything in my Ipod onto my Library? Cuz rite now my Library is empty
Ok, here's what you do, open itunes, select add folder to the library and browse to your itunes music folder, Just make sure they are really there, you know open the my music folder itunes itunes music and choose any folder that contains a song, just to make sure they are in fact still in the itunes music folder. once you do that itunes will reload the folder and create a new data base of the songs, more than likely you didn't back that folder up and itunes don't know there are songs on that folder. Good Luck.
Something like this happened to me not so long ago. What I did was to download a program called copytrans, plug my iPhone, select all my songs and click on the "backup to itunes" button. it copied everything I had on my iPhone back to iTunes and it did it in the right order and categories. I hope this helps
