I had this installed on my computer when I got it, and just now realized it was there.

I've been fiddling with it some, but I can't seem to figure out how the hell to work it out. Does it use vob files, mpeg2 files, how does it do subtitles, etc. etc.?

Is it even a good authoring program?

Depending on the answers I get, I might use it do create some DVDs, and if so, I'm gonna start asking some more questions. Thanks a bunch.

    Hi,
i just got it bundled in with Roxio media creator 8 and if sux just delete it and if you can live without menues download freeware I spent $100 for nothing. My freeware list is Vso's divx to divd although the paid version is better, dvd srhink, dvd fab decrypter and dvd decrypter all available here they can handle all the important dvd ripping and burning stuff with no change out of pocket. If you cannot live without menus get Nero 7 I have been testing it for over 2months now and its great

sonic mydvd is a great program if you are utilising it in the capacity it was meant for, and that was creating dvds that you are making your self with a camera. However you can copy comercial dvds with it but the process is a bit involved and more time consuming than is neccessary.

Depending on what you want to do?

Downloaded avi files to mpeg2: use vso divx to dvd
    copy dvds: shrink/dvd decrypter/clonedvd ver2/+slysofts anydvd

    burning apps: nero recode
reauthor tool:(add menus etc) tmpgenc dvd author

[bold]at the end of the day its your choice

    happy deciding.[/bold]

You can find tutorials in the guides section at the top of the page and if you look through the apps at filepedia you should find both free and trial apps that should suit you as well
