Just purchased this camera and I looking for opinions from those of you of you who have used this camera. I even welcome thoughts from those of you who have not used it but know something about it.

    Thanks!

From what I have heard this is essentialy a Minolat Dynax 5D that has been tweaked. With the might of Sony corp. and from the list of the released and upcomming lenses for this model, it looks like it will be a serious player in the DSLR market.

I have not had a play on this so perhaps you can tell us how it handles and what it feels like.

The cam is a Minolta 7D with a 10MP sony sensor......It uses every Maxxum/Dynax lens since somewhere around '87. The cam truly rocks with image stabilization built in to the body which makes every lens stabilized unlike the other SLR's where you have to by real expensive lenses to add that feature.
The worst thing that Sony does is forget there are millions of maxxum lenses out there for 35mm SLR's with the minolta mount that work with "THEIR" new SLR. You made a great choice in Digital Camera's....If you havent already gotten a few lenses shop around there are tons for sale all you need is a AF Minolta mount!
Good luck with your CAM! JOHN

Thanks...I appreciate the feedback. I actually put this baby to the test a few weeks ago at a wedding. It ROCKED! Great image quality.
