oh yeah i have tried all types of disc from sony, verbatim, fuji i have tried everyone at best buy or any other store that you can find dvd's at
Need more info, what format does your burner support, + or - ? some burners can only burn to one type of format.
if your burner is 8x and you are trying to burn a 16x disk then you would need to do a firmware update so your burner will properly recognize the newer media that you are using to burn with that 8x burner! what is the make and model # of your burner? what software are you using to burn your DVDs..... and what are you trying to burn?
i am trying to back up movies, pictures also burner is - and + capable, devive manager says HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR8163B, SONY DVD RW DW-D22A
no! Like I said..... the 16x media is the newer media out there and an 8x drive has to have a firmware update to burn to these disks properly by getting the correct write strategies to burn to that disk. the latest firmware for your drive is BYS3 found here: LINK
thanx hopefully it will all work out. My buddy is gonna help me do the firmware upgrade he had also mentioned somethimg about flashing
