Sony DCR-HC14E as a webcam, standby mode off?

    Does anyone know how you can prevent the camera for not going into standby mode when you dont film for five minutes. This really bugs when you use it as a webcam. Any tips/tricks?

    I am not sure if this works with your specific model, but here's a method to try:
    Turn the camcorder on with no tape in it. Go to menu-item 6 (Setup, the toolbox-icon) and turn "Demo-mode" off.
    If you use the cam as webcam, don't put tape in it.
