sony dru-500a

    i need help,i have recently brought a sony dru-500a burner, after reading the manual i still can not burn a dvd.
    has any one got an easy step by step guide
    so i can prove to myself that what i am doing is correct,

    thanxs for the thread, i have got some usefull
    info on vcd to dvd,
    but i still can not find any real help on my original problem, the easy guide that im looking for concerns the software "VOB" which came with my burner.
    does any one know of a site which has an easy guide as the manual is not straight forward

    I too have tne new sony and after serious newby study, determined dxc was the only software this 55 yr old father of a 7yr old who just wants an archival copy of lion king et al could reasonably understand. It worked well immediately. Good luck. gary
