Sony DRU500A problem with Nero 5.5.9.9

    I'm using Win2000 adv. serv. (SP3) with Nero 5.5.9.9 and Nero doesn't recognize my DRU-500A.

    Do you have any idea ?

    Help greatly appreciated!

    Yor serial number for nero is probably not for a sony drive. The serial nubers for nero are drive specific.

    Go to Ahead.de and download the latest Nero update. It should work.
    But you are using a Sony which can cause problems knowing Sony and their desire to stop copying.

    Yeah, you should download the latest Nero Burning Rom ... (try 5.5.10.20) I had the same problem my self :)

    I'm still using Nero 5.5.9.9. with no probs.

    Although I am burning w/ a Pionner DVR 104 which is probably more forgiving than SONY.
    Nero recognized my Pioneer immeadiately on install.

    I have a Sony DVP-NS305 stand alone DVD Player though & it cannot be faulted for it plays everything thrown at it.
