Hey everyone newbie here. I just installed my new dvd burner, Which burns dvds ok, but when i tried to rip one of my cd's (Pearl Jam), the drive didn't even recognize the cd when i put it in. So just to make sure the cd was ok, I put it on my old dvd drive and it worked fine. Do these new drives not read store bought cd's?. If so is there software to make it work?.

Try uninstalling your new drive in hardware manager and then rebooting your pc and let it reinstall your drivfe, then try to read CD.

First off, it is best if you start your own thread rather than hijacking other people's. Anyway, as for your problems, that is a bit vague...
    What type of problems?

If you start a new thread with your LAST failed Nero burn log (or whatever burn proggy) then I will reply to you there.
