very new to this, i have been able to record a dvd but they keep pausing for a few seconds all the time . my question is , is my computer good enough to run the burner. Pentium 4 cpu 1400ghz, 640mb of ram, running xp,using nero se, dvd shrink. all help much appreciated plssssssssssssssss
Computer specs fine - sounds more like a media related problem - what brand of DVD's are u using for recording? Poor quality blank media will generally lead to playback problems.
tdk and verbatrim dvd are being used...............one thing i forgot was when im using dvd shrink my cpu runs at 100 percent for most the time ,should i format the computer and get rid of all the rap
Before you re-format, just try a defrag first. Make sure that when you are doing any dvd backups that nothing is running in the background. Disable anti-virus, shut down any programs that auto run on startup. Don't surf the net. That may help your CPU usage come down enough to get a good burn. DVD burning uses most of your system resources. Jerry
