I bought a movie on a Sony brand disc. I want to make a copy without shrinking, but the disc is over 7gig. The movie is a old black and white one that is under two hours long. There are no extras on it. How did they get it be that large a file? Shouldn't it fit on a single layer DVD? I have old color movies that fit on a single layer disc without shrinking.

the only thought of it being so big is, there is a widescreen and fullscreen version of the movie.

This is a old black and white, narrow screen movie from India. I don't see how it can be such a large file.

Get VOB Blanker. That will give you a break down of where all the size is coming from.
