God I hope so. $15 for 25 packs would be a big ripoff. You can get 30 of their fuji tys for $15-I'm still waiting for those babies to go on sale. Thanks for the headup clu05. 30 cent Yuden000-T02's? Let's hope!
You looking for cd-/+/r/rw or the dvd equivalant at cheap prices. I bought dvd-rw at $2.49 a pack of five and all that was wrong with them was the packing identity card of the manufacturer was incorectly done, I bought fifteen boxes of them. For sale stuff I always check at tigerdirect.com they are always coming up with some good deals. Hope this is of help to you all. spisfam.
Tiger direct are doing a dvd cake pack package now, $14.99 with a $14.99 mail in rebate, check the site for further info. spisfam.
@spisfam, the only ones i saw were teons. they are made by the hotan corporation. im not sure what it is, but something is telling me to stay away from these. u cant beat the price though.
They're usually in the sales ads for upcoming week. I don't get a newspaper, but my dad saves me his ads.Only staples/walgreens and walmart though. The best buy is in the larger cities newspapers. You can go to staples.com and look at next weeks circular.I didn't see that feature for Office Depot/Office Max/or Bestbuy. Usually I look at their web ads sunday morning. Those sony's are $14.94 at staples. I've got quite a few ink cartridge vouchers so I can get $3 off each transaction. I only live 2 mins away,so I can go in for 1 at a time! As usual, the taiwanese spindles will be mixed in with the japanese ones. All are very good quality in the 8x speed. $11.94 not including governor's share. Anybody got any old ink cartridges left, take them into staples for those $3 vouchers to use on anything! They also had a good deal on ram. Half a gig for around $40 after rebate? Epson r-320 or r-340? For $130 after rebate! I left my ad at my cousin's house, who just got set up backing up dvds. I trained him well. His first spindle: Yuden000-T02 sony!
1) Yes, some of the sony +1x-8x are Yuden000-T02. Same with Fuji +8x.Taiyo Yuden makes them for the sony brand name and you can tell by looking at the outer labels for Made in Japan. SonyD11 are the taiwanese Sony +1x-8x. Two different manufacturers, and all those + spindles are blue. You just have to sort them out for the Yudens. Here's a code from my last spindle from Staples last sale and it was the same all of last year on all the spindles marked Made in Japan: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unique Disc Identifier : [DVD+R:YUDEN000-T02-000] ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Disc & Book Type : [DVD+R] - [Not Available] Manufacturer Name : [Taiyo Yuden Co. Ltd.] Manufacturer ID : [YUDEN000] Media Type ID : [T02] Product Revision : [Not Specified] Blank Disc Capacity : [2,295,104 Sectors = 4.70 GB (4.38 GiB)] Recording Speeds : [1x-2.4x , 4x , 6x-8x] 2) No,The price is $14.94 per spindle of 50 and sale starts tomorrow-Sunday jan 15th. This is the cheapest the sony have been on sale there. 30 cent taiyo yuden plus format media! Grab em up!
@saxtech i think what saugmon meant to say was that in the 8x dvd+r format for Sony brand, THE MADE IN JAPAN spindles ARE Taiyo Yuden made... the Made in Taiwan Sony's are NOT Taiyo Yudens...they carry a Sony ID, but are decent media, just wanted to CLARIFY as the Sony "made in taiwans" ARE NOT TAIYO YUDENS. docTY~
Man, if only those ink vouchers were stackable... Sony 50pk CD-Rs are on sale for 9.95 too. Grab'em and bag'em.
Got the Staples deal on Sony DVD-R #50 for $14.99. The MIJ code as SONY08D1. They had MIT available but I cleaned them out of the MIJ.
They were out of the +R, but my Pioneer DVR-108 can't bitset anyway. DVD-R working finr for me in burner, ROM reader, and two diferent stand alone players.
If staples and best buy are to far, you can try picking some up at Wal-Mart. They too price match but make sure you take the entire ad as they will ask for the date and I think only the front page of the staples ad has the date. I picked up two Sony MIJ DVD-R 50 packs from there.
