This product work GREAT for videos transferred from my MiniDV cam. Everything is perfect.
When I create a slideshow the photos appear to be perfect all the way up to playing the DVD on a TV using a settop player. Portions of the still images with perfect brightness are too bright and wash out in the final product. As result, sometimes faces are non-existent.
Proshow Gold yields a perfect image every time, but I would prefer to use Sony DVD Studio (v6 Platinum) because audio can be easily crossfaded.
Am I doing something wrong? Would lowering the intensity of the still images to, say, 80% solve the problem.
    Your help is appreciated.

Thanks for the suggestion. I can accomplish everything perfectly in ProShow Gold but wanted to do it all with the VMS products, especially for mixing video and slideshow segments. Anyhow, thanks again.
