I just bought my "dream" DVD/CD player (Sony DVP-CX860 300 disks carroussel) and found out that it doesn't play CD-R/RW media!?! Any help??? Is there a way to fix this? Thanks!
That would have to be a fix by SONY as at the least it would be a new firmware. Which probably could not be installed by the user.
mine does!! I have a DVP-860 and I use DVD-R and DVD-RW from DVDPro, no problem!!... I buy them from meriteline.com This DVDPro discs have played fine in the following players: Sony DVP860 (300 + 1 mega changer) Sony DVP850D (200 disc mega changer) Apex 703 Apex 1100 Apex 1500 Panasonic DMR-HS2 Recorder No DVD recordable media has worked for me in the following: Apex 600A Panasonic DVD100 another brand of media that has worked very well for me is "PRINCO"
ooops, I left out the CX out of the sony model numbers I mentioned previously... the correct model numbers are: DVD-CX850D and DVP-CX860 sorry...
Thanks Guys! I spoke with Sony and they told me that this model does not play recordable media!?! I have to buy the CX-875. What is the brand that you use? Do you play CD-Rs? I tried to find the store you bought the media, but something is wrong.... Can you please give the address again? TKS!
