Sony DVP-NS400 problem

    I have this dvd player abut 3 years now.
    It is'nt used very much only every few weeks but all dvd's have started to skip in it whether backuped or original. Is there a way to fix it or will i have to buy a new one.
    Any help greatly appreciated.
