Sony Ericcson W580i and MP3 player

    I have a spare phone which is the above referenced phone. Is there any way to just use this phone as an mp3 player? I don't have a sim card to put in it, so it says I can only make emergency calls. I was hoping there was a way around it so I could let my son use it as an mp3 player. Thanks in advance!
