memoirs of a geisha. I was unable to copy this movie after I bought it. I spent about 13 hours on it. Took it back, and was able to copy it with no problems useing DVD Fab (express). I was told that some of the companies that burn the movies do not put the copy protection on them. Has any one had this same luck?

    Hi danmax
Sounds more like you had a bad press.
Prety much any movie released commercially is going have some type of copy protection on it. MPAA would probably have a fit if they didn't and recall all of them :)

I got a hold of a couple of oldie concerts, and some PBS stuff that had not protection on it, but this was when DVD's first came out. Most of them at least have Macrovision on them that prohibits there backups with DVD Recorders.

Just like cd's - too bad they had to spoil that too.
    Thankfully there's AnyDVD!
