You should tell us the name of the movie and be a lot more specific about when the error occured and what the error is. There are hundreds of possible error messages. It would be a good idea to tell us the programs you are using as well, as there are lots of programs.
The movies are House of Flying Daggers and Hitch. I'm using dvd decrypter and the error is an I/O Error not sure what that is it says it's uncorrectable. I just assumed it was a Sony Picture error. Any help would be greatly appericated FasFrank also thanks for the message advise crmac
@crmac, House Of Flying Daggers and Hitch are nothing special. DVD Decrypter alone can crack the codes and decrypt it flawlessly.
Thanks to everyone who helped with my problem I think I figured it out I just updated my decrypter program
i, I am using decrypter 3.5.3 as the programme runs in the background. Decrypter 3.5.4 is different. Does it interface with One Click. I want to back up my films, but I am starting to get error messages, something like bad blocks. Decrypter 3.5.4 means downloading your DVD to your hard drive ( I think ) but then the film needs to be shrunk in order to get it onto a 4.7 -DVDR. Will one click source this film from the hard drive and apply compression? Will this overcome the 'bad block' error messages I am getting? Any help would be appreciated. BTW I backed up Flying Daggers using 3.5.3 - no problem.
never used One Click, but i do know that Decrypter works wonderfully with another free program, DVD Shrink. give it a try and you might fall in love with it
Hi, Thanks for the link, I may give it a try although I hope it will not interfere with 3.5.3 which backs up quite well apart from this odd hiccup.
It is recommended to Delete DVD Decrypter from your computer and reboot before installing a newer version. That's why I keep a backup install of the older version.
No, all it's versions actually rips the video files to your hdd and breaks the encryptions in the process.
Hi, Guess you would have to read up on 3.5.3, but that's how it interfaces with one click. It starts up automatically you switch on Windows. It's no big deal, I am just trying to keep up with new technology and that's becoming increasingly difficult. Thanks for all your tips and advice.
Hi, Yes I am, but with all the other versions I don't get all that info you show. It just runs in the background. I really ned to speak with someone who works it in conjunction with the programme one click. No one here appears to use it though. Thanks.
@harstro, You won't get the information screen with DVD43. That information screen is from DVD Decrypter. Maybe the similar version numbers are causing a bit of confusion... DVD43: current version 3-5-3 DVD Decrypter: current version 3.5.4.0 DVD43 is the program that runs in the background and has the green face. DVD Decrypter has a screen like Mort81 posted.
Hi, That's it. Thanks. I have the latest DVD43, but because the decrypter was 3.5.4 which is just one digit on from the latest DVD43 I thought the two were the same. Thanks ever so for clearing this up for me.
