hey, i usually buy in bulk and these sonys are 53 cents a piece, and veritims are 60 cents a piece.. i was wondering which you think are better? another quick question.... when i copy a dvd using shrink... which audio tracks do i need, theres usually an english 5.1 and an english 2ch..... do i need both?
Hey staples has on sale NOW TEON dvd +r disks 8x 20 for 4.97 great buy and they work PERFECT for me cheers
Moved Wow! Let's chill out. True, Thomas didn't answer your specific question but there's no harm in what he did. As for the media it depends on who actually manufactures the discs. Have you run them through DVD Identifier to see what you're getting? http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_identifier.cfm My best suggestion for the audio would be to keep the 5.1 and ditch the 2-channel.
Hey punx777,I just picked up some sony + and - that were on sale at staples, cakes of 25 for $9.94. Both are doing a fine job for both pc and stand alone playing. I don't know which format you prefer, I usually prefer verbatim but with all the "different manufacturers for the same brand name", it is hard to tell. I like to look at the made in japan on the lables.Everyone has their own preference. Hello tomt7898, I did pick up the teon + 8x's at staples and they checked out as ricohjpnr01, same code as my verbatim +1-4x,maxell +4x and sony +4x "10 pack with cases". These are performing great, but watch out next time they are on sale, could be from a different manufacturer. Same applies to majority of media, different lots, different quantity, different manufacturers, and so a quality difference. Buying online, check out dvd-r media forums, someone always posting whats on sale. The dvd identifier is a very hand tool to have, this will get you close in the ballpark on who made these. ON which ac ch to use, I use AC3 5.1-english only here in U.S.A. Later
GEEZ WIZZ is this what you get when you try to let people know that there is a GREAT buy out there chill out folks..
I tend to buy what is ever on sale and i've never had a single problem with any of them all seem to be fine.. maybe it has something to do with the different types of burners out there..??
yeah same here, sams is the only place in central nebraska where blanks are cheap... i always used to get 100 for 60 bux, then i got a 75 pack for like... 30 dollars i think? idk but it was cheaper.. well, so far so good havnt found one problem yet, and they have more writing space then verbs did.
see my message from the 19th TEON +R 8x at Staples 20 for $4.97 CHEAP and they work fine never a problem here. I've also used FUGIFILM 4X & TDK's 4X
the media depends on your players, some work better than others it just is a trial an error till you find what works best with your equipment. 5.1 is great for home theater, but only if you are using a dolby digital system, otherwise as far as just watching tv , use the 2 channel
WOW thanks tomt...... stop posting the same thing over and over again.... alot of us dont even have a staples so LEAVE US ALONE!!!
