I just set up this little fella for my parents. Everything is working well, they're quite pleased, but every 5 seconds, the speakers will quietly pop. As long as the receiver is on, it happenes regardless of input type or even if there is audio going in or not. That right there seems to tell be it's just the connection to the speakers, but I'm just not sure. I've reconnected all the speakers twice, so I dunno what else to do. Anyone have any similar issues or have a solution? The audio is all hooked up through analog, except the DVD which is coaxile, because the HDMI cables haven't arrived yet. Dunno if that helps since it pops regardless of audio presence.
so even with no audio or source input, the speakers make that sound? Also, is it every 5 seconds on the dot or is it 5 seconds once and 10 seconds the next? Is it regular like clockworks or just every 5-10 seconds? you have checked the polarity of the wires and also double checked the input cables to make sure they are nice and tight?
