So my friend got a new camera, and we are trying to import the video. Does Sony Vegas 6 support HD video? We have the camera plugged in through firewire, but the computer isnt detecting it... Maybe we need to upgrade to Sony Vegas 8?

Sony Vegas 6 supports HDV. There has been a lot of changes since Vegas 6, yes going to Vegas 8 might be a good idea.
