Sony Vegas Pro 8 video capture won't open Dazzle DVC 100 video device

I want to use Sony Video Capture to record video via Dazzle DVC 100, but Sony Video Capture won't open it. Instead, I get a message saying "The Device 'Dazzle DVC 100 Video device' could not be opened. Please make sure that it is turned on and is not being used by another application or user." Dazzle DVC 100 is connected properly, and it is not being used, I just don't know why Sony Video Capture won't open Dazzle DVC 100. Can anyone please help me resolve this problem?

 

i sadly have the same problem i think sony needs to update this . i have to go to another program and record what i need to .thats my only solution
