    J&R has some sweat deals

    Sony KDL-40S4100 Bravia 40" S4100 LCD Television 949.99

    and

    Sharp LC42-D65U AQUOS 42" HDTV LCD 979.99

the sony has 24p true cinema and the sharp has 120hz fine motion.

I just noticed the difference between 60hz and 120hz today. It's kinda freaky and it does take you out of the movie but I read that once you start watching movies in 120hz you won't go back. so I want it. but I also read that 120hz alone wont give you that cool realism. you need stuff like motion flow and crap like that.

what to do? should I get the sony or the sharp?
    I can also get a samsung 40" 1080p model LN40A530 for 799.99

Thanks for the input. I settled for a 40" samsung 120hz for 1300

what sucked was that I should have gotten it for 1200 but the ass that called himself a customer service rep only knocked a hundred dollars off the price instead of 200.

long story short I originally ordered a 40" samsung 1080p for 799 free shipping. waited anxiously for a week and it never showed. I even took off a day of work to receive the tv. I called them and was all wtf. they said that tv was no longer being sold. they didn't even e mail me or anything. They canceled the order and said I could get this other samsung 40" 1080p that was 999 for 799. They hadn't put the money back into my account so I couldn't do it at the time. She gave me a case number and she said to call back. I got paid 400 and I had 500 on my other card. I called back and a different lady gave me the same discount but she couldn't spread the amount over 2 cards. I finally got the money back today and I called a third time. This time the guy said he could only give me a hundred dollars off because there was a company wide memo sent out against giving such high discounts. I argued then said screw it. I got the 120hz because I'm not paying 100 more for the same tv I originally got and decided to get a better one.

was this bullshit or was there something I could've done / still do?
