Im trying to watch football on my tv at the weekends by using sopcast on my pc and streaming the game to my tv via an xbox 360, ive read the tut on the forum but i keep hitting problems, im on windows 7, can anyone point me in the right direction????? thanks alot guys
it can be done, but its a very longwinded affair to do it, if you have a normal PC, its possible, You need VLC on the PC, download TVERSITY also Firstly, you will need to download VLC Create a desktop shortcut for VLC, then right click and then click on Properties. Change the target field to this (include the speech marks): "C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" -vvv http://127.0.0.1:8902/tv.asf --sout "#std{access=mmsh,mux=asfh,dst=:1234}" Now open up Sopcast as usual and go to the channel that you want to watch. Open up Tversity and add a new Video URL and enter: mms://127.0.0.1:1234 Open up VLC using your desktop Icon Now, switch on your Xbox, go to the media tab, Videos, and then select your Tversity Server. Click Internet Videos and find the new URL you have added, wait for it to Buffer and there you go. You can now watch your Sopcast Broadcast on your TV and someone else can use the PC.
Thanks for your replies, Ive followed your instructions Mickah but I'm getting an error message on my TV from xbox saying unplayable content staus code 69-807B0194. Any ideas and thanks agin
is all the codecs updated on the XBOX? it up to date with its software? There is a tut on here also, step by step if you want to retrace yer steps using this http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/stream_sopcast_video_to_xbox_360.cfm
if your laptop has a HDMI use that or use a VGA and a audio jack for the sound and thats it Use the search function above and search for SOPCAST you will see the guide and step by step to do it
